Acquisition of Wisconsin Paper Company

Aiming to increase its printing and writing paper business in the U.S. Midwest, Central National-Gottesman Inc. signed an agreement to acquire printing and writing papers’ merchant Wisconsin Paper and its Chicago affiliate Martino Paper. The deal should close by Feb. 1. Based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin Paper also has a branch in Madison. Wisconsin Paper, whose pres. Tom Boyce will become gen. mgr. of the Milwaukee and Madison operations, will be run under CNG subsidiary Lindenmeyr Munroe, which opened its first Midwest facility in Itasca, Ill., about five years ago.
